I'm not really -back- back, but I'm a uni with another 3 hours to kill so I thought I may as well post. ...Hmm, I guess you can take this as me coming back? Even though this is waaaaaay earlier than I thought it'd be. (I mean, come on, who officially announces hiatus and then posts 3 days later?). We'll just take this as a boredom post, while still on semi-hiatus or something ok.

I've been at uni since 8.30am. I do not have class till 1pm. All for free parking, how screwed up is that? I should be doing some Jap catch up work, but I'm barely awake and functioning so yeah.

RL has been mediocre or sucky with some spazzy days thrown in between thanks to fandom, not really much to talk about. I'm failing a Chinese subject again. I failed last year and I really don't know what I'm gonna do if I fail it again. Will I lose my place in the course? My exchange change? I don't even know. I don't want to think about it though. I'll just fall deeper into depression.

But thankfully, fandom has been absolutely awesome these past few weeks to make up for my sucky RL. Since most of it old news, I'll just put a little list of the things that have made me squealed/happy in fandom:
{&} Summer Time PV & Performance. The smiles and the dorkiness has been putting smiles on my face for the past weeks.
{&} Queen of Pirates. 'Nuff said. This is probably what broke my main hiatus. I am just dying for this album to come out. SIX SENSES!
{&} Don't U Ever Stop PV preview. lveaddkt called me at 8.30am in the morning to spazz about it. I was still sleeping. xD Can't wait for the full thing. Anyone know when it's due to air? I can't find any info on it from Johnnys.net. I will slot my love for the solo's in here too. I dun even know why. ♥ xD

{&} Ohkura on the latest Janiben. So adorb. ♥
{&} The Spring drama season. Unexpected love: Osen. I love it. So frikken gorgeous. I love Uchi and Aoi is so good in her role. I've tried everything I said I'd watch, except Hokaben (and Change but that's cuz it hasn't aired yet). Shige looks hot in those specs but I haven't got the space to download it yet. I'm liking Miura in Gokusen 3 too. Rookies was much better than I anticipated. I bawled watching the first ep. I was watching it on the kitchen table. Grams was cooking and looking at me like "WTF is wrong with you!?". xD I love Last Friends too. I have bawled my eyes out in every ep except the 1st, which I think is due to all the previews I watched more than anything. I managed to catch the last 15 or so minutes of last night's ep and I was crying and my door was open and mum could hear my all the way down the hall in the living room. Also another "WTH are you doing?!" moment. I seem to have a lot of those at home.

Ok, and probably a million other little things which have slipped my mind.

After lvaddkt exclaimed to me that I hadn't posted in a long time, I thought I'd post a short note to say that yes, I am alive and I am sorry for going on such a long and totally unannounced hiatus. ;_; How is everyone? I've missed you guys. This is just a short note, but I hope to go back to my normal posting very soon, maybe in a couple of weeks. Things have been a bit unsettled with me, not to mention uni, so I sorta fell out of the blogging loop.

Huge hugs to 4_03_am, acchikocchi, ashkt, mainichi_muri, winterspel, hitomito, and yamaperfection for the wonderful birthday wishes. They were unexpected and totally made my day. Thank you. (I hope I haven't forgotten anyone, forgive me!)

Happy note: I have well and truly converted lvaddkt into being a JE fangirl. She, who used to laugh at me and look at me like I'm a nut when I fangirled and spazzed, is now even crazier than I am. I think I made her into a nutcase. But its okay, when she's calmed down a little, its another addition to the KAT-TUN & K8 fandom. (I'm working on NewS & Arashi.) ^_^

I really am sorry for not posting for so long, I swear I'll be back soon! I still try to read my flist, but my comments are scarcer than scarce, sorry. Take care, guys and thanks for sticking with me. <3 ♥

Happy 20th Birthdays to both of you!

I'm near dead from the heat here, so I haven't been bothered to do anything. Thank you to everyone who wished me well with uni, it's the start of 3rd week tomorrow and I'm doing okay. I'm sorry I haven't been replying to comments. Laziness is not something I have been able to cure myself of yet.

Really tired, hopefully try to post again tomorrow. Oh, note: I am almost done uploading all my trip photos. They should be ready by the end of the week. More antics from me in the next post, including karaoke last weekend, the fail that is my spending addiction and approximately 7 parcels. Love you all. <33 ♥

: should I go on hiatus

..again? *sigh* Will it help?

I've been really out of it lately. How come wallowing at home is so easy to fall back into? I felt so good coming home from my holiday and now, not even one month later I've fallen back into the pit that I was in beforehand. Uni starts tomorrow and I'm not really sure how I feel about it. I am determined to make this year a better year to make up for the dismal failure 2007 was for me, so hopefully being occupied and establishing a routine again will help me pick it up.

And I feel like I should give it my all. I feel like I'll need awhile to adjust and see how things go. But you never know, if things go well I may be back tomorrow with a bubbly happy post... maybe. If not.. then I may seriously take a break. Even though I know I can't stay away from fandom. I just need some serious pulling-myself-together action going on I think. In any case, I'll leave any drastic decisions till I at least see how first week goes. I'm a little at a lost right now, so thoughts may be a bit of a jumble. Hopefully my next entry can be a happy-this-will-be-an-awesome-semester sorta rant instead of a omg-kill-me-now-so-i-don't-have-to-do-that-again sorta rant.

My timetable doesn't look too bad, and you can't even tell I'm doing an extra unit. Only thing that sucks is the Thursday class. >.<; If it weren't Jap, you can bet on me wanting to skip it.. a lot.

{★} Just dying to see the Taiyou no Namida PV. The Zoomin Preview is driving my nuts. I wanna squeel at the rain and the clothes and the dancing and dorky!Pi in glasses, with the papercups again. Can't wait. Am stalking CB now. (I will ignore the fact that yamaperfection posted caps from the PV. If I ignore it, it will stop taunting me. Y/y?)
ETA: OMG OMG I -SWEAR- I'm waiting patiently for the full PV. I SWEAR. No one can see me fuss and fidget and go-nearly-insane from refreshing. So yeah, totally waiting patiently. asdfjkla;!

{★} I'm loving Kame right now. 1Pound and all his recent promos has made me love him so much more than I did. He was so cute in the Making of Lips. I loved his and Koki's little acapella jam session with Nakamaru. I uploaded it (streaming) for anyone who's interested.

{★} The thought of a KAT-TUNxKanjani8 Cards Tournament makes me super happy. By this I mean, Nakamaru said on Hey!x3 that before Countdown, Jin, Junno, Yoko, Hina, Subaru and Toma all hung out at his place and played cards for like 6 hours between rehearsals and the real thing. Anyone wanna write me fic? *innocent smile*

{★} I finally got my hands onto all my holiday photos! Fi came by with her laptop after work and transferred them all over to me. Guess what? One month = 4500+ photos = ~3.8Gigs. I think it'll take me awhile to organise it out enough for me to start posting. I mean, over four THOUSAND. Just.. I had no idea. Plus a couple hundred were deleted both on the trip and when we came back. Well, I swear I will get to it as soon as I have time after Chinese New Year.

Got back to Oz this afternoon after 3 train and 2 plane rides from yesterday in Japan. Sooo tired. Was meant to come home and conk out but the kids kept me entertained so I've made it this far.

It's so hot here at home! I went from 3deg in Osaka last night to arriving back amidst 28deg Melbourne weather. Still adjusting. Kicked my giant jacket into the corners of my wardrobe.

Okay so I have heaps to do like unpack and slowly get back into the whole home routine but I will be updating my photojournal with pics and info of my trip (as soon as I can collect up all the photos scattered over 2 cameras and 4 SD cards) so look forward to that, and a waaaaay overdue layout.

Gonna leave some downloads running to start chipping at the iceberg of all the stuff I've missed. Then going to bed. It's 11.30pm and I think I need to sleep for a couple of days. >.<;

Twice. Yeah, not a good day. But JE shiny managed to make it so I didn't go to bed pissed.

『★』 Fiona's back from her China study tour. Hearing her stories make me want to go on one. My exchange will be so different. She went with like 20-30 people from her course and they did lectures and sightseeing together in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing. So cool.

『★』 I was reading back through some of my older entries the other day. (Excuse the jumping between topics.) I realised that I used to do a lot more fandom related entries and lately have only been doing RL entries. I always want to do fandom entries but they take so much effort. I may pick up on that.. well probably not now but once I come back from my trip. Having said that, I am working on a scans post at the moment. Scanned/scanning CanCam 2008-01 (theres an Ikemen section), Fine Boys (Ryo cover), and a new Oricon Style (Gakki cover). Will have that up in a day or so.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, asinful & maiaki!

I have a million things swimming through my head at the moment that I want to say but I'm too restless to sit down and properly write up an entry. I can't seem to organise my thinking. My head feels like cotton wool. It's not like I'm sick or anything... just.. apathetic. Currently anyway.

I really need things to pick up. I'm basically wallowing at home everyday. Not healthy. And I'm missing Fiona like crazy. Never realised how big a part she plays in my life usually. Or maybe its the random nonsensical 3-5 hour chats on the phone when the both of us are bored (which is almost nearly every night). Chatted with her on MSN last night till 4am, with her telling me of her adventures in Beijing. She climbed the Great Wall and saw the Forbidden City and Summer Palace, and I am way jealous. Those things are on my To-do/see-before-I-die list.

I had a super emo post written up but I just had an hr or so chat with mum about Japan and traveling and preparation etc, and I sorta feel better after that. I'm back to being bored again now though. I have nearly no bandwidth and it's only the 11th and there's Yukan and Best Artist awards tonight. *sighs*

Ok, I'm off to do those Chrissie cards I promised everyone. It's still not too late to leave me your address if you haven't already! In fact, please do so~ ♥

RL + (lack of) Fandom

◆ I really need to get out and do something, but going out usually involves spending money and I really can't afford to go anymore of that. I think I may start to run under budget. But retail therapy sure works wonders (at least for awhile). I bought a 500gig external drive yesterday. It's my new baby. The one I wanted was in the brochure for $186 but they didn't have any left so the guy gave me the only other 500gig drive they had for that price. It was worth $250. I was so happy, new hard drive AND a bargain to boot. I really ought to stop though. I'm a little scared, I'm taking the kids shopping tonight 'cause they have a wedding coming up and I just -know- that I'm gonna end up buying something. ;_;

◆ Mum left for Thailand on Wednesday! I'm next~ 25 days and counting! I'm really excited. Hit a hitch yesterday though. I had honestly thought we had everything booked and paid for. Turns out I had forgotten to purchase travel insurance for me and my grandparents. Crap! This was meant to be done weeks ago! My credit card has not arrived in the mail yet so I have to borrow my stepdad's credit card since mum's not home. Will do that tomorrow once my bandwidth resets (I don't trust doing any sort of transaction with my dodgy bandwidth atm).

◆ So, not having bandwidth for nearly 2 weeks is a real killer. All the stuff that everyone on my flist is talking about, I haven't watched yet. KAT-TUN's Con DVD, ctKT, Yukan Club, Utaban (lol all Kat-tun related), and Muchaburi/Janiben etc. I haven't been able to download any of it. You watch, Imma gonna go on a download spree tonight when it hits midnight. Then I'm gonna disappear for a week while I watch everything. >.<; I swear, it happens nearly every month.

◆ NEWS TOKYO DOME CON! I don't care if this is old news. I'm a little conflicted with this news (no pun intended). On one hand, I'm estactic for them to finally get a Dome Con, but on the other hand. The day they slipped the con in is exactly one week BEFORE I get to Tokyo. *0* And I can't change any of my itinerary to accommodate it cuz well, we'll be -somewhere- in China (I don't even know where) with the family, and everything is booked and paid for. We can't even change flight dates cuz all our flights are internet-booked. SO unhappy. I've been looking into going to the Tokushima con (cause that coincides with our dates) but it's FIVE hours by shinkansen from Tokyo and no guarantee that we'll be able to get tickets. ;A; What to do? What to do?

I just asked mum to thin out my fringe for me cuz it had grown out a lot thicker and was starting to annoy me. I have an uneven fringe which runs short from my left eyebrow down to about my right ear. I really liked it. What mum did was cut it short and straight above my eyebrows (!). And it's not even fully, the straight cut stops halfway over my right eye and then slopes to my ear. Which is just plain weird. Plus there's no way to fix it without making my fringe even shorter still.

I'm so upset. I know it's a stupid thing to kick up a fuss about but I've never hated a cut she's given me so much. It looks horrible on me and I want to cry when I look at it. I've put on a hat and will continue to wear one until it grows back out again. *sighs*

Nothing fandom related from me cuz I've had no bandwidth for the last couple of days and will continue to have none until the 1st. Running on an average of 10k/s is very painful. No downloads is very painful. I think I'm a download addict.

I'm hoping to spend the next week graphic-ing. Oh, and I've decided to send you guys Christmas cards for now! You'll hopefully receive Chrissie cards from me now and then something else late Jan/early Feb when I come back from my trip. Anyone who hasn't left me their address, please do so?

Just finished downloading Yukan Club Ep 05 and was browsing through it after joining (to make sure it works) and I skipped to the Ep 06 preview and saw Koyama! xD It was a weird but cool feeling to see him alongside Jin, even for a moment. I was so unexplainably happy. (This might be starting to scare me a bit.) Can't wait til next week. (Haha and I haven't watched this weeks, but it looks pretty promising.)

Haha quick random post, off to bed now. It's 2.15am and I have a 10am counselling session tomorrow. Oh! I'm gonna be going to pick up my mags too~

◆ This somehow describes my attitude so spot on right now. Trying to adopt a cheerier outlook on things. It's been a little easier with the help of the beautiful weather that we've been having. Today's weather was absolutely amazing. 26°C, crystal blue skies, cool breeze. Nice change from the crazy one day hotter than summer/the next raining bucket days from a couple of weeks ago.

◆ Trip update: We got our China visas back the other day. The guy looked at us funny when we gave him the pick-up slips and asked us how many we were picking up. Lol, he probably doesn't get batches of 10 very often. When we answered 10, he replied, "Correct" as if it were some quiz. I dunno, it amused me. Also, we finally managed to book our Hong Kong - Tokyo flight, after putting it off for... weeks now. We got all our flights and hotels out of the way ages ago except for that one, cuz we ran into trouble with the whole "booking to fly out of Hong Kong but we're in Australia with an Australian credit card, and no we don't wanna pay double for a travel agency to handle the admin" sorta thing. We were close to getting family in Hong Kong to buy it for us, but we ended up buying it through Zuji. I still have to buy travel insurance for me and my grandparents, I keep forgetting to. Should really get to that asap. >.<;

◆ Been avoiding going into uni to deal with some paperwork. I really don't have the courage to see my course co-ordinator. All contact up till now has been through my counselor. I will do it eventually. Just...not right now.

◆ I'm jumping all over the place, but I wanna just sorta say that I drooled over Jin in Popeye with everyone else (6 pages of comments atm!), but for some strange reason, I did not pick up the phone at 12pm on the dot today to call kanga. WHY?!?! I don't even understand it myself. >.<;;

◆ KAT-TUN x Kanjani8 x NEWS co-stars! Koyama will guest star in Yukan Club! I look forward to seeing this. I love seeing Koyama in drama. I love Koyama, period. <- For some reason, it's been getting like that lately. xD While we're on the topic of Koyama, thefunnybone posted an old clip of Kei with his nephew Haru from an old K-chan NEWS. It's just adorable. This made me realise how much of a newb I am to this fandom still. I had no idea Kei had a nephew called Haru. So I downloaded almost 2 years of Kchan NEWS and plan to listen to it all. I have yet to finish reading all of his Jweb too. xD

◆ I had a couple more things to say, but mum called me to help her close up shop in the salon which made me late for babysitting so I'm leaving it here.

「►」 Wow ok, so I -really- didn't expect to disappear for an entire month. I've had a tough time dealing with RL and a lot has happened, one of the biggest being me not being about to go on exchange in 2008. It's a big disappointment but a choice I made with my counselor cause I understand that I'm probably not in the best condition to be thrown into something as stressful as that in my current condition. I'm having a fresh start next year, redoing my 2nd uni year since I failed very badly this year with depression weighing me down. But I made the decision on the fact that it would not affect my chances of receiving the scholarship to participate in exchange in 2009. So in all technicality, I AM still going to Japan on exchange, but in 2009 instead of 2008, that's all. I'm sorry if I've caused anyone to worry especially all my flist who know me in RL. I also assure you that I'm receiving the help I need and on the way to mending.

「►」 Ok, now with all the serious stuff out of the way. I am still going on the family trip to China & Japan and that's about 7 weeks away. My anticipation is gonna heighten the closer we get to that day. Because we're leaving on Christmas day all the Christmas countdowns will have double meaning for me. I'm very excited, it'll be my first time in Japan. Every thing's booked, visas for China are ready to be picked up next week, travel insurance will be booked tonight. I'm now starting to build up an info notebook with random lists of stuff we need to buy, places we want to see and phrases that will help us get around. xD Me and Fiona are really bad when we're together and even here we forget stuff like wallet and keys and such so we need constant reminders. Well I will definitely keep posting about how that goes.

「►」 Well as far as fandom goes, I don't want to regurgitate a months worth of fandom stuff out since it's pretty old news now. I've been ignoring a lot of the Ryo birthday posts in the comms and well I don't really want to join but I did make a graphic yesterday when I was making a header for my cousin, so I may as well post it. Ryo flitting around on Utaban, abusing Koyama, everyone's big smiles, Massu trying to wonder off... everything just somehow puts a gigantic grin on my face. Hey!Hey!Hey! next week and Music Fighter as well coming up. Can't wait. The album has sounded great so far (since we've heard pretty much the entire album xD), so many of the new songs I feel like I'm gonna love: Ai Nante, Ai no Matador, Kimi omofu yoru etc, not to mention Rainbow and Mafuyu no nagareboshi as well.

「►」 I'm halfway through listening to the November 1st Recommen. I love listening to JE radio shows but I never really sit down and do it. I have a lot saved but only a fraction listened to. To my surprise this Recommen is hosted by Hina and Toma! It's great to hear their camaraderie. They call Jin and Yoko who are on set for Yukan and that was cute. Yamapi and Ryo are gonna be guesting on next week's Recommen to promote weeeek and pacific. That should be really interesting. Has Ryo ever been on a K8 program to promote NEWS stuff before? I mean Ryo sings K8 songs at NEWS' concerts but has it ever happened the other way round? Well it should be interesting.

{+} Hana Kimi DVD boxset is set to be released on the 9th of January. I might see what it has in it and might pick it up when I'm in Japan.
{+} I'm still meant to be in lockdown to save money but I gave in and ordered Kanjani8's 47 Concert DVD [LE] (omg FOUR disks!) and their tour photobook and KAT-TUN's concert DVD [LE]. As much as I want the Dokkiri in the K8 regular DVD, I just can't afford to get both. >.<;
{+} Maki on cartoon KAT-TUN was so cute and I can't wait for next weeks to see them do the cooking part. ^_^
{+} I've always said I'm easy, falling into groups and people so easily. Well I'm currently very interested in V6. They're just too cute. They're sempai but act every bit, if not more, dorky and adorable as their kouhai. Been watching old Gakkou e Ikkou/MAX eps. So much crack. xD

Ok, so today turned out very different to what I expected.
Warning: long personal rant of my day. Really, no need to read.

I hate our public transport system. I thought getting stuck in rush hour in the city with two 20 minute delayed trains the other day was bad. I stood at my bus stop for about 40 minutes today before a bus came by, only to see SPECIAL on the sign and have the driver stop and tell me that the service isn't running for some reason or other.

Ok, so pissed already I go home (2 minutes from bus stop) ready to call lvaddkt and tell her that I would be late to meeting her. I stopped dead in my driveway cuz I can hear that there's a yelling match going on inside. I debated whether I should just turn around and walk the half hour to the train station. I probably should have. Grams and gramps were having a VERY loud "conversation" about the Dec family trip that we're tagging along to. I fled to my room to leave a msg for lvaddkt then try to sort things out. It took me hours to settle them down, work out what each of them was worried about, then explain what we could do about it etc etc.

Oh and also I played reception for my mum today. There were so many people wanting appointments, some nice and some not so nice. Here's an open letter (sort of turned out like one even though it wasn't meant to be) to some of those with less sense and even less common courtesy:

To the some of the stupid customers of my mother,

There is a sign on the wall for a reason. It says "Appointments necessary" for the fact that mum is not a full time hair dresser and actually studies full time Mondays through Thursdays. That is why you call and make an appointment. Sorry but, No, she is not at home at the moment and No, she isn't taking any appointments today because she is doing her work experience for her course. I can mark you down for an appointment time though. The best I can do is take your name, number and time and let her know. Mum understands that working only Fri-Sun is tough for some peoples schedules and is happy to make allowances when she is able. IF you call us in advance.

You do NOT have the right to DEMAND to me that she change her opening hours. Or YELL at me to make an allowance for you. NOR do you have the right to tell me to give you an already scheduled appointment timeslot just because you "need that time and that time only". You do NOT have the right to DEMAND me to call my mum home right this moment. ESPECIALLY after I told you on the phone that she is not home and not taking appointments BUT you rock up at my door anyway. The next time you have the nerve to do that I will give you a pair of child proof scissors and tell you to cut your own hair. OFF premises.

That is all.

I believe that was much more politer than how some of them treat me. But after some their attitudes I refuse to sink to their level.

Ok moving on. I tried to do some study also but I couldn't concentrate so when I discovered a DVD full of Urajani's that I haven't seen yet I started watching that. Which wasn't good cuz gramps felt unwell and was sleeping in the other room and there's random spurts of loud laughter coming from me. I gotta get around to writing my Japanese culture essay. I've decided that I'm gonna incorporate JE somehow, just don't know how I'm gonna go about it yet.
